They say learning is the key to personal growth. Well, yoga teacher training must be the best type of learning you can do for yourself and others.
A love of learning is just one reason why Yoga Byrne is proud to team up with Bali’s Loka Yoga and Perth’s Yoga Vine for teacher training.
These yogis really know their stuff.
Loka Yoga, led by WA’s Taryn Weggelaar, specialises in yoga teacher training across all yoga methods. To round this out, she’s joined by a small team of teachers from around the world with skills and knowledge in anatomy, philosophy and more.
Taryn did her training in Australia and is now an independent teacher at the E-RYT 500 level.
She has more than 4500 hours of teaching with industry organisation Yoga Alliance and has taught classes in Australia, India, Indonesia and internationally. She’s even led classes for the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras.
Perth’s Yoga Vine takes a modern approach to both its practice and teaching training.
Run by Donna Buchanan and Kate Taylor, these girls are two of the best. Kate has been a registered senior teacher with Yoga Alliance since 1999 and Donna registered with Yoga Australia in 2010.
We love how they teach you to make yoga a seamless part of your life. They know all about yoga as well as the often-tricky business side of things.
Their teacher training program, focusing on the universal Vinyasa method of yoga, goes through the history and philosophy of yoga, anatomy, meditation and more.
They know that the best teachers are ones that are students themselves. Donna is currently learning yoga medicine, focusing on anatomy and myofascial techniques.
Yoga Byrne can’t wait to hit the mat with these lovely yogis!
The Yoga Vine Teacher Training is based on the universal Vinyasa method. A flowing, rhythmic style that is adaptable and popular in modern Yoga studios.
Insights into Ashtanga & Power styles are included in the training, offering a broad understanding of the contemporary Yoga landscape.
A strong focus on anatomical knowledge and practical assessment ensures injury prevention for western medical applications.
Their program is fully recognized by and registered with Yoga Australia (YA), Australia’s peak professional registration body.
