Studio Etiquette at Yoga Byrne Cannington

It is our aim that each student leaves our studio space as happy and light as possible. In order to do so we have a few housekeeping rules we ask of you to make your Yoga experience a positive one for all of the amazing humans that come along to the studio

General Class Guidelines

  • Disconnect to reconnect. Please keep electronic devices switched off, or at the least onto silent mode
  • The quiet zone. The studio is a place for students to relax and unwind, we ask that you keep your talking down to a bare minimum when in the yoga studio
  • Keep it clean. Bathrooms are for communal use so please keep them clean and tidy
  • Check yourself in. Please arrive at least 10 mins before class to give yourself time to settle and ensure all classes can start as scheduled
  • Please place mats, blankets and all yoga equipment away in a tidy manner
  • Take rest as you need during your class

New to Yoga?

If you are new to yoga, you might be unsure about where to start. Here are some tips to help you:

  • You do not need to be a human pretzel or remotely flexible to begin yoga
  • The majority of our classes welcome beginners
  • Yoga will teach you more than just flexibility
  • We have a range of classes for you to choose from. Beginners , hatha flow, vinyasa flow, yin yoga, restorative yoga, align and define, kids yoga, pregnancy meditation
  • Our class card offers will also help you find the right price and time for you to begin with us
  • If you are pregnant, please let the instructor know
  • If you have a heart or serious cardio vascular condition please let us know

Your First Class

To prepare for your first class:

  • If you have your own mat please bring it along but, if not we can supply all that you will need for this amazing time in your life
  • Avoid eating any heavy meals or consuming any coffee or stimulants 2-3 hours before class
  • Come wearing comfortable clothes so that you can move around freely and leave your shoes at the door
  • Make sure you drink good quality water before and after class. Hydration is your most important recovery tool
